What We Do
While we work hard to produce beverages that consumers enjoy, we also care about the environment and what happens to those beverage containers over the long run.
To help improve the environment, we produce packaging that is 100 percent recyclable. We also have reduced the amount of packaging used to deliver beverages and encouraged consumers to become active recyclers, but we recognize that there is still more work to be done.
WE CARE
Canadians caring about Canadians ...
The Canadian Beverage Association and its members care about the health and wellness of all Canadians. The beverage industry supports the importance of an active, healthy lifestyle for all Canadians, especially for children.
Our refreshment beverages provide Canadian consumers with a wide variety of choice for quenching their thirst and maintaining proper body hydration. We believe that choice, variety and balance in everything we eat and drink are the cornerstones of a healthy diet.
Canadian Beverage Association members provide quality products that Canadian consumers can trust. The beverage industry maintains the highest manufacturing standards to ensure the freshness and quality of our products. All production operations are consistently monitored, tested and inspected. All ingredients, packaging, drinks in process, and finished products are stored and handled carefully to ensure proper hygiene and safety. Our member manufacturers have their own quality excellence standards that meet or exceed those set by governments of Canada.
We are proud to do our part to support healthy and active lifestyles for both the young and the young at heart.
about Communities...
Our industry has a strong record of community support and corporate citizenship. Members of the Canadian Beverage Association contribute millions of dollars to charities across Canada each year. The Special Olympics, the prevention of child abuse, youth development and literacy programs are just a few examples of the hundreds of local and national initiatives sponsored by the beverage industry. Our member companies sponsor various developmental programs, sports and other community-based activities for young people. They also donate products and services, and encourage volunteerism among their thousands of employees.
about Canada ...
The Canadian Beverage Association and its members are committed and involved corporate citizens and care about Canada and the protection of our environment for Canadians - both present and future generations. We are proud to do our part in supporting efficient, cost-effective systems that enable Canadians to divert beverage packaging through comprehensive materials recovery systems.
